Description:
The Lead Hazard Reduction Demonstration Grant Program is authorized by Section 1011 of the Residential Lead-Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act of 1992 (Title X of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1992, Public Law 102-550). HUD's authority for making funding available under this NOFA is the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2005 (Pub. L. 108-477; approved December 8, 2004). The Lead Hazard Reduction Demonstration Grant Program assists States, Native American Tribes and local governments in undertaking programs for the identification and control of lead-based paint hazards in eligible privately owned rental and owner-occupied housing units. Refer to Section IV.E.3 of this NOFA for instructions on downloading the table, ?Eligibility of HUD Assisted Housing? that lists the HUD-associated housing programs that meet the definition of eligible housing under this program.
